Nom? Nom!

Now this postcard from Jean has opened up a new world of postcards to me - if only they all looked this yummy! This is a seafood platter from the Poiteau-Charantes region of France and resulted in some serious salivation my end.

Leaning tower of postcard

A lovely chap who I met through doing a private swap on Postcrossing, Raffaelle, sent me this fantastico view of the leaning tower of pizza PISA which is great because it looks decidedly less wonky than usual!

Moscow by night

Laaahve this night time view of the Kremlin - the colour of the boat, the buildings and the sky is sublime. Many thanks to Anna for sending it to me!

Moomins! Actual Moomins!

As I'm sitting here in the freezing coal hole I call home, scanning my Postcrossing cards, this ultra sweet Moomin beauty gave me a lovely warm tingle. Thank you to the lovely Finnish family who sent it to me and made an old gal happy!

Cottage in Normandy

This little gite in Normandy is so pretty and so whimsical, I almost get the urge to commandeer a little rowing boat and bob my way across the Channel right now. The kind Michel sent this Postcrossing to me. Merci!

Postcard from Texas

I always enjoy getting postcards from Americans, though I never seem to get that many :( Well, this is from Janet in Austin, Texas and what an amazing skyline! The colours are just superb, the mirroring, the lights, the sky. Janet has visited the county I live in here in the UK, both years ago and more recently. Sadly she said it was not the green and pleasant land she remembers - boo!

Winter in Denmark

I adore this postcard from lovely Postcrosser Alex. It shows the grassy plains of Denmark in winter. Frosted ground, rainbow sunset; perfect. Like me Alex is a huge Eurovision fanatic - I love the connection I find with fellow EV aficionados, it makes us instant chums for life. Like me, he often feels embarrassed by his country's entry, though that doesn't diminish the contest's magic.

Great Wall of China

Hi friends! Apologies for being in absentia for so long. The months of Jan and Feb have been chock-a-block with lashings of work, chores and other boring stuff, all of which left me with little time to blog my Postcrossing adventures. Don't let that fool you; I have still been sending and receiving postcards aplenty. Like this stunning card proudly displaying the Great Wall of China. The sender didn't say much but they did draw me a pictorial of a kitty cat. ( ~_ )

Pass the Dutchie

Apologies for an all too predictible title. This came from Kevin, an Englishman who lives over there during the week for work. Very nice!

Beautiful Beijing

Absolutely love this amazing postcard from China - it's spectacular! The sender is a young businessman who's new to Postcrossing. Welcome Yen (~_ )

Totes new year!

Greetings, Musers! A happy 2014 to thee and thou. Today I bring to you a suitable missive for such a sentiment (above). It comes from the sweet Lori of Chicago, no less! Woot! She told me her five resolutions but I've been sworn to secrecy - sorry.
I think I've just won Postcrossing! Sorry everyone but this is just too cute! As an avid follower of Hello Kitty© I was beside myself when this popped up yesterday morn. It comes from a sweet Taiwanese gal who also did little drawings on the back. I so want to visit that country because every postcard I get from there is amaze balls!

Yo ho ho

Excuse the impertinence of such a title but I felt it only necessary, m'lud. Jennifer in Maryland, USA sent this little cracker to me today. She says she visited London in her student days and loves a bacon bap!

California dreamin'

Michelle sent me this beautiful postcard today. It shows the Pin Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Californ-I-A. Amazing! Definitely one of my best cards yet!

"Halp!"

This cute little chap came all the way from China to my doormat this morning. And it only took thrity days! I'm not mega sure what's going on in this pictorial but he seems to be sitting in a funny wicker basket while saying something into a mic - for which I refer you to my title.

Hell jah

Two Teutonic postcards for your visual consumption! The first is from Andrea in Nurnberg, a geometric smorgasbord of the town's main thoroughfares. It all looks very Brothers Grimm and I would be scared to cross a bridge in case of chancing a wicked troll - one considerably worse than the 4chan kind.

Frohe Weihnachten to thee and thou comes from Sebastian with this vintage delight. He used to live in Laaandaan Town and picked up a number of shabby chic finds while perusing the antiques shops. One of which he has kindly sent to me. Deck the halls!

Oh hai

Love this postcard from Jamie (not sure of their gender, soz). They love the exact kind of films I do: Terminator, Uncle Buck, National Lampoon...you don't get any more classic than that!

Ooh la la, cheri

This beauty of a postal card comes direct from Reda in Burgandy. He says it's really cold there so I guess he didn't Zazzle this view in the last few weeks!

World Cup: now available in postcard format

This cute card arrived 'pon Saturday morning from the sweet Jan, a young boy who lives just north of Amsterdam. As I had amended my Postcrossing profile to give props to the World Cup coming up in Brazil in the summer of '14, he kindly sent me this one from South Africa 2010 and made a very cruel joke about England's prospects. Must've been high or something!

Can I get a sqee?

These pretties flew all the way from Russia and waited patiently on the doormat for me this morning. They look like three boiled prawns! Love it.

Postcard from Greenland

Holy snowly! Hoo boy, that's what I'm talking about. A good, proper McFlurry over the entire landscape. This card was made by Mike using one of his own pics and he says it really is as cold - and beautiful - as it looks. I can taste the crispy air from here. Thanks Mike!
